A Little History
Small Hands Big Art has been delighting kids at our original South Charlotte studio since 2009. We've worked hard to build a solid reputation and a successful business model around a fine-art inspired curriculum infused with a modern, contemporary spin.
In early 2018, a casual coffee date with an artsy mom of two long-time students turned from chatting about binge watching Bravo shows into a deep dive about entrepreneurship, work-life balance, and following your dreams.
Fast forward through a lot of boring stuff to December, 2018, and the Grand Opening of Small Hands Big Art's first independently owned and operated studio in Fort Mill, South Carolina!
We can't wait for owners, Jen & Morris Lumpkin and their girls to experience all the joy and rewards that will come from pouring their hearts and souls into their new studio! We're so excited for all the kids who will make paint-splattered memories over the years in this beautiful new space, and whose lives will be immeasurably enriched!
Meet the Fort Mill Studio Owners
A Litte More
From the Lumpkins
Hello! We are Jen & Morris Lumpkin! Morris is mostly behind the scenes and Jen is at the door greeting you with a big smile and a hug! Morris and Jen have lived in Fort Mill, SC for 13 years and love this community! It is where we have met our best friends, watched our girls grow, and taste tested all of the nachos. We have two girls, Harper (14) and Drew (11), two dogs Penny & Leo. Jen spent the last 6 years teaching preschool and is so excited to bring her love of kids and creating full time to all of you! When we aren't at the studio, you can find us all on a family adventure... probably to Disney for the 20th+ time!
